Full Description

The Government of Canada is seeking feedback from industry to gather advice or examples related to how vendors optimize the hosting placement of applications, workloads, data, and hosting operations within their organization, as well as any artifacts they can share. This will assist Shared Service Canada, the primary application hosting provider for the Government of Canada, in enhancing its capabilities and value to the enterprise. The objective of engaging with industry is to gain insights into key factors, trade-offs, methods, and constraints that private industry utilizes to select optimal hosting placements for workloads. This involves balancing considerations such as cost savings, security, agility, scalability, time-to-market, and customer experience. Vendors are invited to submit their written feedback by email to pvrprotectedcloudarfnuageprotege@ssc-spc.gc.ca. Canada then reserves the right to organize one-on-one or group engagement meetings, the model of which is yet to be determined, with the vendors who have responded. The consultations are currently planned to take place between May 1,2024 and May 31, 2024.
