The Project consists of the demolition and replacement of two existing water storage reservoirs to meet current seismic and structural requirements. Reservoir No. 1, an existing 3-million-gallon (MG) tank, would be replaced with a 4-MG tank, and Reservoir No. 2, an existing 1-MG tank, would be replaced with a new 1-MG tank. In addition, the City would remove the existing Reservoir Nos. 3 and 4 (which have a combined capacity of 1.375 MG) from service but would leave them in place. Overall, the project would not result in a net increase in the Citys water storage capacity.
