RFPQ Mechanical Prime Contractor and/or Sub-Contractor Services -Intake 1

Interior Health has issued Request for Pre-Qualification SM071726 to establish a list of pre-qualified Mechanical Prime Contractors and Sub-Contractors for Acute and Non-Acute Care projects. These projects are located within four local health areas, including Okanagan, Thompson/Cariboo/Shuswap, Kootenay Boundary, and East Kootenay. The pre-qualification process categorizes firms by project value, with future competitive bids expected in ranges from $200,000 to $1,000,000, $1,000,000 to $5,000,000, and over $5,000,000. The RFPQ remains active until July 15, 2027, with quarterly intake deadlines, the first of which closes on October 15, 2026. Applicants must submit a pre-qualification form, project references for acute and non-acute care, and resumes for key personnel via the online bidding system. Evaluation is based on experience, qualifications, and past performance, with a specific requirement for key personnel to have completed CSA Infection Control training. Interior Health utilizes a Continuous Quality Improvement program to monitor vendor performance using key performance indicators related to workmanship, time, project management, and contract management. Each of these four categories is weighted at 25 points during performance evaluations. Respondents must also disclose their legal structure, bonding capacity, and any history of dispute resolution or health and safety policies.
