The Regional Medical Center Seismic Compliance project, identified as Project No. CP26011, is a Progressive Design-Build procurement for the County of Santa Clara. The primary objective is to achieve campus-wide Non-Structural Performance Category (NPC) 4D Level 2 and NPC-5 compliance for designated acute care hospital buildings in San Jose, California. The scope of work is comprehensive, covering the full project lifecycle from preconstruction programming, field investigations, and engineering evaluations through design, permitting, construction, testing, and final commissioning. Technical requirements include the seismic anchorage and bracing of non-structural components and utility systems in critical care areas, as well as modifications to emergency potable water, sewage storage, and fuel-oil systems.
