Contractors also have the option of submitting their proposals electronically through www.centralbidding.com. When submitting an electronic proposal, the proposal must be submitted in “pdf” format and shall contain the same information and forms as required for the paper proposals. When submitting a proposal electronically, the authorized signature may be a hand-written blue ink signature or be an electronic signature. When proposals are submitted electronically, the requirement for including a certificate of responsibility, or a statement that the proposal enclosed does not exceed Fifty Thousand Dollars ($50,000), on the exterior of the proposal envelope shall be deemed in compliance by including Certified check or bid bond for five percent (5%) of the total bid, made payable to George County and the State of Mississippi must accompany each proposal. Bidders are hereby notified that any proposal accompanied by letters qualifying in any manner the condition under which the proposal is tendered will be considered an irregular bid and such proposal will not be considered in making the award.
