Solicitation FA4407-18-Q-3012 involves a contract for landscaping and cleanup services at the Scott Lake Recreation area of Scott AFB, Illinois. The objective is to reduce future grounds maintenance costs by managing vegetative beds while ensuring a clean appearance and healthy grass. The selected contractor is responsible for providing all necessary labor, materials, equipment, and supervision. Following a site visit, the 375 Contracting Squadron issued an amendment to redefine the Statement of Work and update area maps for better boundary and square footage accuracy. Key revisions include requiring the contractor to remove all vegetation from the base at their own expense, adjusting vegetation height specifications to 18 to 24 inches, and clarifying that stump removal must leave the ground level for mowing. Additionally, a specific Bat Preservation Area was established with work restricted until after October 1, 2018. The final deadline for quote submissions was set for July 24, 2018.
