The STATE intends to enter into a Contract with a Hawaii-based company that can provide event planning, coordination, and management services for all CDPHPD events on Hawaii Island, Kauai, Lanai, Maui, Molokai, and Oahu, hereinafter referred to as “Islands” in the STATE, identified by the CDPHPD, as needed, throughout the duration of the Contract. The CDPHPD works with diverse stakeholders, including representation from public health, community organizations, healthcare, businesses, city planners, school educators, and many others across the STATE to provide a comprehensive statewide approach to the development, management, implementation, and evaluation of the Programs within CDPHPD based on national objectives, a STATE-specific Healthy Hawaii Strategic Plan (HHSP), which provides a roadmap for preventing and reducing chronic disease in the STATE through the year 2030, and compliance with federal grant requirements. The CDPHPD also brings prominent expert speakers and trainers in the public health field to Hawaii to inform local policymakers and upskilling community stakeholders on the latest findings and best practices. This solicitation seeks event management services to include coordination, planning, registration management, travel arrangements, and facilitation to support the convening and training of various health community partners from across the STATE. These events will focus on providing public health education and best practices for attendees in health priorities, addressing the HHSP objectives, and allowing for networking and inclusive discussions between stakeholders and community members. The vendor who is awarded this project must have extensive experience in public health event planning and coordination. The vendor will need to provide documentation of experience (see attached RFP for additional information).
