It is the primary objective of this contract to treat conifer encroachment on the unit to improve wildlife habitat and reduce the potential scope and consequences of a wildfire. Accomplish mechanical mastication, grinding/shredding of material by equipment with a minimum head lift height of 12.5 feet. The project is located in two areas, the first approximately 8 miles northeast of Shepherd, Montana and the second approximately 11 miles north of Acton, Montana.
