The Department of the Air Force, 1st Special Operations Contracting Squadron, is awarding a sole source, firm-fixed-price purchase order to Northern Video Graphics for technical software, maintenance, and technical services. The contract, valued at an estimated 98,800 dollars, focuses on providing upgraded capabilities for the Northern Video Graphic DSIG ingest program, Megaview display and analysis software, GEO Aim software, and the AUTOFTP file transfer program. This acquisition is conducted without full and open competition because Northern Video Graphics possesses proprietary software currently operating on the AFSOC MODIII system, making them the only source capable of providing the necessary Geostationary Orbiting Environmental Satellite direct readout software upgrades and support. The contracting officer will ensure pricing is fair and reasonable by comparing the costs to previous government acquisitions for similar items.
