AI Contract Overview
The Department of Defense is conducting market research via a Sources Sought Synopsis to identify responsible sources for the inspection and restoration of NSN 5998-01-598-5645 and NSN 5998-01-598-5644 to a serviceable condition. The government does not own the technical data or software rights for these parts, which were originally manufactured by Northrop Grumman Systems Corporation, and has determined that reverse engineering is uneconomical. Any alternate source must qualify according to procedures approved by the cognizant government engineering activity. The anticipated procurement will be a Firm-Fixed Price contract with a period of performance of 120 days after receipt of order. The government is utilizing NAICS code 811210 and is interested in all small businesses, including 8(a), Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned, HUBZone, and Women-Owned concerns, to determine if the effort can be a total Small Business Set-Aside. Interested parties must submit a capability statement of no more than five pages in PDF format via email. This statement should include detailed business information, experience with similar services, historical pricing data, teaming arrangements, and an analysis of the top five risks associated with the effort.
