Spectrofluorometer (Fluorimeter) System Replacement

The U.S. Air Force Academy, under the Department of Defense, is seeking a commercial spectrofluorometer system to replace existing equipment through a full small business set-aside procurement under FAR 19.5, with the NAICS code 334516 assigned. The requirement calls for a single integrated system including a core instrument, solid sample holder accessory kit, water-thermostatted single-cell holder, water pump, and desktop PC with interfacing software, all capable of measuring fluorescence, phosphorescence, chemiluminescence, and bioluminescence without hardware modifications. The system must feature a xenon flash lamp pulsing at 80 Hz or faster, wavelength accuracy of ±0.5 nm or better, reproducibility of ±0.1 nm or better, scan/slew rates of at least 24,000 nm/min, software-selectable bandwidths from 1.5 nm to 20 nm with integrated filters, room-light immunity in fluorescence mode, and compatibility with powder cells, single crystals, and standard 12.5 x 12.5 mm cuvettes.
