SUNFLOWER BYPASS PUMPING PLAN FOR WET SEASON 2026-2027

The Orange County Sanitation District (OC San) is soliciting bids for the Sunflower Bypass Pumping Plan for the 2026-2027 wet weather season. This project is necessitated by reliability concerns with Sunflower Pump #1 and requires the procurement of a temporary 40-MGD bypass pumping system to provide redundancy for Sunflower Pump #2. The selected contractor will provide a turnkey service including the mobilization, installation, and operation of a system featuring at least five pumping units with variable frequency drives and SCADA integration. Key milestones following the Notice to Proceed include the delivery of bypass submittals within 14 days, a review workshop within 21 days, and the completion of installation and testing within 28 days.
