Full Description

This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. This notice is being issued as a Request for Quote W912NS-05-T-0088, the provisions and clauses incorporated are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 05-03. The North Am erican Industry Classification System Code is 812210 and the Business Size Standard is $6,000,000. THE GOVERNMENT INTENDS TO SOLICIT AND NEGOTIATE ON A SOLE SOURCE BASIS WITH VETERANS OF FOREIGN WARS (VFW), DEPARTMENT OF MISSOURI, JEFFERSON CITY, MISSOURI . This requirement consists of furnishing Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post Members capable of participating in the Military Funeral Honors Ceremony in the State of Missouri, to include one of more of: Color Guard, firing detail, pallbearers, flag fold ing detail, bugler or detail for flag presentation to next of kin. The need for this support may be once or several times during any one day and may be anywhere across the State of Missouri. The contract will be for an initial 12 month period, with optio n for renewing each year for the following four years. The proposed contract action is for services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive price quotes. However, all quotes received by June 10, 2005 no later than 10:00AM CST will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon response to this notice is solely w ithin the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
