Technologies, Products or Services for Development of Next-Generation Combat Vehicle Crew stations

The U.S. Department of Defense, through the W6QK Acc-Dta office in Warren, Michigan, is seeking near-production commercial technologies, products, or services to support the development of next-generation combat vehicle crew stations. Responses are sought for offerings that are either Mil-Spec compliant or minimally meet automotive/industrial quality standards and can withstand the extreme operating conditions of tactical and combat vehicles. The solicitation, identified as OPSEC10785 and posted on June 22, 2026, with a response deadline of August 2, 2026, functions as a sources-sought notice and is not a request for proposal or award. Vendors must submit their responses via a standardized COAT RFI Data Collection Template, which must be completed in full, unaltered, and submitted as a separate spreadsheet per offering, named according to a specified format. Supporting materials such as brochures, specifications, operations manuals, and demo videos are permitted but must be in formats viewable via Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, or Windows Media Player. All submitted information must be clearly marked as “Company Proprietary” if intended for limited distribution, and participants must agree to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement to protect intellectual property. Selected vendors may be invited to collaborate with the Army under a Cooperative Research and Development Agreement (CRADA), where they are expected to provide their technology, services, and support at no cost to the government. This includes bailment of a product version that demonstrates sufficient maturity to represent an acquisition-ready solution, technical integration support into Hardware-In-The-Loop System Integration Labs and actual Army ground vehicles, and on-site Field Service Representative support during military testing at ranges. Vendors must fund their own labor, travel, and shipping expenses related to integration and assessment activities. Offerings must align with specific capability areas including User Interface, Situational Awareness, AI-enabled systems, Counter Drone and Strike Drone solutions, Crew Safety/Vitality monitoring, Electronic Warfare, secure Communication, Cyber Security, Vetronics, Development Tools, and Engineering Services, with a strong preference for Modular Open Systems Approach and Ground Combat Systems Common Infrastructure Architecture compliance. The government is particularly focused on innovations that enhance crew performance, survivability, and interoperability under combat conditions, with safety as a critical factor in evaluation. While no pricing or contract value is established at this stage, vendors are requested to provide estimates for unit cost and low-rate initial production volume to inform market research.
