The purpose of this source sought notice is to conduct market research to determine if responsible sources exist, to assist in determining if this effort can be competitive and/or a total Small Business Set-Aside.


The proposed North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 334510

The Government will use this information to determine the best acquisition strategy for this procurement. The Government is interested in all small businesses to include 8(a), Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned, HubZone, and Women-Owned small business concerns. 


The Medical Readiness Contracting Office - W, Fort Sam Houston, Texas, is seeking potential sources to provide Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation Systems in support of Brooke Army Medical Center (BAMC) on Fort Sam Houston, TX.

This request is for one (1) -Model R30 MagVenture Transcranial Magnetic Stimulator (TMS) Pro R30 Magnetic Stimulator with embedded Express TMS, accessories and supportive TMS Navigator TS Plus Package with Lyra Edition.  The purchase of the system is a single source purchase with a two-year warranty extended beyond the standard warranty (cost included in total). MagVenture is FDA cleared to treat Major Depression Disorder (MDD), and Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD). The purchase of the MagVenture is to replace current non-repairable and obsolete Neurostar TMS machine.


Salient Characteristics for the Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation Systems


    • MagVenture TMS Therapy systems*/ MagPro magnetic stimulator systems can be used with greater than 8 different FDA cleared transducer coils of different sizes and geometries. All coils FDA cleared for range of indications: MDD, MOD in adolescents, OCD, ANX-DEP, and mPNS for pain.
    • MagPro stimulator systems can empirically capture and record the rate of change of current flow (di/dt) in the transducer coil; for verification of actual realized stimulus power being communicated through the coil.
    • MagVenture TMS /magnetic stimulator systems use liquid cooled transducer coils that enable un-interrupted patient treatment, with zero waiting time between TMS sessions, and delivery of greater than 5000 consecutive pulses at 75% system output power with average stimulation frequency of one pulse per second, when starting/ room temp equals 25°C.
    • MagPro stimulator systems are the only magnetic stimulator systems that produce clicking sounds below the OSHA defined 90dB Sound Pressure Level (SPL) threshold for requirement of hearing protection to prevent hearing loss from prolonged exposure to loud noise, when sampled at a 100% stimulator intensity at a distance of 10 cm (4 inches) from the surface of the transducer coil.
    • MagVenture TMS Therapy systems are compatible with and have two-way communication with FDA cleared Localite TMS Navigator- (MRI Image based) neuro-navigation systems.
    • MagVenture TMS Therapy system does not require any monthly subscription payment or (per-1:1se) fee to operate.
