Project Overview Minnesota State University Moorhead is requesting proposals to assist in developing a software solution designed to support the university in guiding incoming transfer students by delivering a clear, concise, and visually engaging summary of their academic progress. The application will generate a personalized, semester-by-semester graduation plan by intelligently parsing Degree Audit Reports (DARs), identifying unmet requirements, and aligning them with established four-year academic pathways. Technical/Functional Requirements This web-based application must integrate with Azure Active Directory (Azure AD) to allow users to log in using their existing university credentials. Access will be restricted to authorized users only. The application should be capable of reading and interpreting a current Degree Audit Report (DAR), identifying unmet requirements, and generating a personalized semester-by-semester academic plan aligned with the university’s four-year pathways. Each generated plan will be saved under the student’s profile, with functionality to soft delete and reprocess the report as needed. Functionality: Input Handling: Accept student degree audits (DARs) in PDF format and allow staff to input variables such as full-time or part-time status and preferred credit loads per semester. Processing: Parse DARs to identify earned credits and outstanding requirements, mapping these against standardized four-year plans. Output: Generate professional, branded Degree Completion Roadmaps with semester-by-semester breakdowns, visual progress indicators (e.g., pie charts, timelines), and disclaimers regarding course availability. Administration Tools: Allows administration to manage majors, four-year plans, and course schedules. Budget The budget for this contract is anticipated to be $200,000.00 per year of the contract. Selection Process The selection process includes Dean of Admissions, Campus Information Officer, and Admissions Assistant Director. This group will evaluate the proposals and make the final decision. Evaluation Factors The following factors and their identified weight will be used to evaluate the responses: Topic Factor Weight Adherence to Minnesota State Terms and Conditions.
