Trash, Recycle and Waste Removal for Gainesville Regional Utilities

Gainesville Regional Utilities (GRU) is soliciting bids under ITB 2027-002 for a contractor to provide comprehensive trash, recycle, and waste removal services across various locations in its territory, including the Administration Building, SEC Energy Center, and multiple plants such as Murphree Water, Kanapaha, Kelly, and Mainstreet. The contractor is responsible for providing all labor, transportation, and disposal costs, as well as supplying ANSI-standard, leak-proof, and fire-resistant containers. Key performance requirements include annual steam cleaning of containers, replacing damaged containers within 24 hours, and rectifying missed collections within four hours of notice. Payment terms are net thirty days from the receipt of an itemized invoice, with a limit of one invoice per thirty-day period. The agreement includes provisions for price adjustments due to material tariff increases and allows for mutual renewals or a six-month extension to facilitate a new solicitation.
