The objective is for a Travel Management Company (TMC) to provide travel and related services to assist EDC (including FinDev Canada for the discussion of this document) with its travel arrangements needs. Through this competitive bid process, EDC intends to do the following:  Enter into a global agreement to provide travel services for EDC’s head office employees, Canadian regional employees, and for EDC’s offices and representatives overseas. Have a designated team of bilingual agents assigned to EDC, with an additional 24/7 support. Must be able to restrict booking to certain countries as EDC’s Safety and Security team deems is necessary. Offer to travellers an on-line (i.e. self-service) corporate travel booking services. This tool should have strong booking automation Strong reporting functionality (including carbon capture and spend) Air/Rail/Hotel and Car should all be bookable through the tool. If the Proponent uses a 3rd party on-line booking tool, the proponent remains directly responsible for its use. EDC will only award one contract to the successful proponent and will not consider entering into any 3rd party agreements in relation to the on-line booking tool.   Bidding and Documents are available on http://www.merx.com.
