The University District Community Development Association, Inc. is seeking qualified contractors to join a roster for the UDCDA Home Rehabilitation Project in the Northeastern and Northwestern sections of Buffalo, New York. Funded by the Federal Home Loan Bank of New York, this five-year initiative starting January 1, 2026, aims to provide substantial repairs for 18 single-family, owner-occupied residences, with up to $35,000 available per home. All rehabilitation work must ensure full compliance with local building codes and guarantee that major building systems have a remaining economic life of at least five years upon completion. The selection process involves a two-stage approach where firms first apply for inclusion on a qualified contractor roster. Once a homeowner is selected, a Rehabilitation Construction Analyst will issue a detailed scope of work, and contracts will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder after receiving at least three competitive bids. There is a strong emphasis on diversity, with a total Minority and Women-Owned Business Enterprise (MWBE) goal of 41.00%, and Veteran-Owned Businesses are also strongly encouraged to apply. Interested firms must respond by the November 13, 2026, deadline to Executive Director Roseann Scibilia.
