UDS - MHS-3 & MHS-5 Substation Protection Upgrade- Supply & Delivery

The City of Medicine Hat has issued Request for Proposals CMH26-100 for the supply and delivery of protection upgrades for the MHS-3 and MHS-5 substations. Proponents are ranked based on a 100-point scale, with corporate experience in electrical protection and control panel fabrication serving as a key rated criterion. The top-ranked proponent will enter direct contract negotiations to finalize a supply agreement. Key contractual obligations include providing a 12-month warranty from the date of operation or 18 months from delivery, submitting a preliminary inspection and testing plan, and providing bonding, insurance, and health and safety certification within seven days of a notice of award. The final submission deadline was extended via addendum to October 8, 2026.
