Union Slough and Willow Slough Cleanout (Streambed Alteration Agreement EPIMS Notification No. YOL-53238-R2)

The California Department of Fish and Wildlife has executed Streambed Alteration Agreement EPIMS Notification Number YOL-53238-R2 with Farmland Reserve, Inc. pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code. This regulatory permit authorizes the Union Slough and Willow Slough Cleanout project located in Yolo County, California, specifically covering Assessor Parcel Number 047-170-007-000. The project is categorically exempt under Class 1 (h) for the maintenance of existing facilities per California Code of Regulations title 14, section 15301 (h). The scope of work is limited to vegetation management within the sloughs, consisting of mowing, masticating, and herbicide application over five non-contiguous acres annually. Additionally, the project includes the physical removal and disposal of Arundo patches and the removal of trees with a diameter at breast height of 4 inches or less as necessary. No in-stream work is required for the completion of these activities. Administrative oversight is provided by Environmental Scientist Alexander Funk of the CDFW.
