Upgrade, Troubleshoot, Maintain, and Emergency support for Autoclave Facility

THIS SYNOPSIS IS FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. The Naval Air Systems Command; Aircraft Division (NAWCAD) (AIR 2.5.1.3), Patuxent River, MD 20670-1127 intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Thermal Equipment Corporation, 1301 W 228th Street, Torrance California 90501-5091 for the procurement of the upgrade to an existing high temperature portion of an autoclave with new control and data acquisition system to the latest version of Thermal Equipment Corporation Autoclave Computer Control System (TEC ACCS), to provide maintenance to the existing low and high temperature autoclaves, to troubleshoot the low temperature autoclave, and to provide emergency, on demand repair and maintenance support. The estimated contract value is $150,000.00. This action is being pursued on a sole source basis under the statutory authority of 10, U.S.C. 2304 (c)(2) as implemented by the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1 only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. The period of performance for this requirement is for (12) twelve months from date of contract award with two (12) twelve month options, if exercised. While this notice of intent is for information purposes only, and not a request for competitive proposals, interested parties may identify their interest and technical capability, respond to this requirement, and may submit information, which shall be considered by the NAWCAD. The Government retains the right not to compete this requirement based on responses to this notice.
