The United States Coast Guard is considering whether or not to set aside an acquisition for HUBZone concerns, Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business Concerns (SDVOSB) or for small businesses. The small business size standard is less than 1,000 employees. The NAICS Code is 336611. The acquisition is for Dockside repairs to the USCGC CHANDELEUR (WPB-1319), a 110 foot, B Class, Patrol Boat. The USCGC CHANDELEUR homeport is Miami Beach, FL. All work will be performed at the vessels home pier in Miami Beach, FL. The planned performance period is twenty (20) calendar days with an anticipated start date on or about 04 May 2009. The scope of the acquisition for this Dockside will include, but is not limited to: Renew Main Diesel Engine (s) Renew Vulcan Coupling and Realign to Main Diesel Engine Install New Deck Covering System(s) Renew Pilothouse Windows Renew XO Cabin Windows Renew Electro-Hydraulic Crane Renew MDE Fuel Return Piping Install New Pre-Lube Pump Controller Repair Soft Patch All welding and brazing shall be accomplished by trained welders who have been certified by the applicable regulatory code performance qualification procedures. At the present time, the acquisition is expected to be issued as a small business set aside.
