AI Contract Overview
The contract is for the repair and restoration of the No. 2 Ship Service Diesel Generator (SSDG) aboard the USCGC MUNRO, specifically addressing chronic issues with load sharing and speed control that have resulted in brownouts and reverse power tripping. The solution requires the installation and programming of two obsolete, replacement components: the Electronic Modular Control Panel (EMCP), part number 4529414 PANEL GP-ELE, and the Electronic Control Module (ECM), part number 511 3143. The work must be performed by a Caterpillar-certified Technical Representative who is responsible for supplying all necessary parts, wiring, and labor to complete the installation, testing the generator’s local operation to ensure stable performance, and delivering a condition trip report upon completion. The final report, detailing the work and outcomes, is due within three days after the contract period ends. The place of performance is aboard the CGC MUNRO at USCG Base Kodiak, Alaska, with a period of performance extending from July 3, 2026, through July 2026. The effort is structured as a Total Small Business Set-Aside under FAR 19.5, meaning only small business concerns are eligible to compete. The solicitation was issued with a response deadline of July 1, 2026, and falls under NAICS code 336611 for shipbuilding and repairing. Primary and secondary points of contact are provided by the SFLC Procurement Branch for administrative and technical coordination during the process.

STATEMENT OF WORK
