The contract modification extends the current Commercial Travel Office (CTO) concessionaire contract, originally set to expire on November 7, 2005, by an additional 30 days until December 7, 2005. This extension is necessary to maintain continuity of travel services at Los Angeles Air Force Base (AFB) until its transition into the Defense Travel System (DTS), which was rescheduled to December 7, 2005. The existing contract (F04693-01-H-0004), held by Rodgers Travel, a woman-owned small disadvantaged business based in Philadelphia, PA, initially included a one-year base period and two one-year options, and expired December 31, 2004. Since then, the contract has been operating under extensions announced earlier in May 2005. This modification does not involve the issuance of a new solicitation or an invitation for new bids, but rather extends the existing contract for 29 days, from November 8, 2005, through December 7, 2005. The extension is administered by the Department of Defense through the Sustainment Mcpnt Ssc/pkl office at Peterson AFB, Colorado. Stakeholders who oppose this action were invited to submit written objections by October 21, 2005. The contract falls under the NAICS code 561510, which covers travel arrangement and reservation services.
