The Department of Veterans Affairs through the 245-NETWORK Contract Office 5 is seeking to lease twenty-four flexible video rhino-laryngoscopes and five video system towers along with necessary supporting equipment and image management software for use in an ENT/Laryngology Clinic. These devices are equipped with diagnostic capabilities and are intended to enhance clinical evaluations of the upper airway and larynx. In addition to standard flexible laryngoscopy, the equipment must support stroboscopic functionality, which requires light sources capable of precisely measuring vocal fold vibration frequency and producing a strobe effect to visualize vocal cord movement in slow motion, allowing for more accurate assessment of voice disorders. The solicitation, identified as 36C24526Q0625, is open for responses until July 6, 2026, and is classified under NAICS code 532490 for medical and dental equipment and supplies rental and leasing. The primary point of contact for inquiries is Contract Specialist Theresa Thomas, reachable at theresa.thomas7@va.gov, and all responses must be submitted through the SAM.gov platform. Full Description

The ENT/Laryngology Clinic is in need of twenty-four (24) flexible video rhino-laryngoscopes and five (5) video system towers, along with supporting equipment and image management software. The flexible laryngoscopes and platform equipment have diagnostic capabilities. Laryngeal stroboscope, as compared to flexible laryngoscopy, uses a strobe light to obtain views of vocal fold vibration during speech.  The ability to do stroboscope depends, in turn, on light sources which are capable of measuring vocal fold frequency and generating a light source that enables the slow-motion strobe effect.
