The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) plans to award a contract to Sheraton Colony Square in Atlanta, GA, to provide all necessary labor, materials, and equipment for conference spaces and guest lodging for the 2006 Incoming EIS Officer Class during their Annual Scientific Conference from April 24-28, 2006. Market research identified Sheraton Colony Square as the sole source capable of meeting the facility and lodging requirements within the specified timeframe. The procurement process will be conducted as a commercial item acquisition under FAR Part 12, with offers evaluated based primarily on technical capability and price, and the award will be made without discussions, so initial proposals must represent the best terms. Interested vendors are invited to submit written quotations including itemized pricing, payment terms, tax and identification numbers, and relevant descriptive literature by the stated deadline. Although not a small business set-aside, submissions are welcome from any capable source, with the government reserving sole discretion on whether to compete. The solicitation number must be referenced in all responses, which may be submitted by mail or email with proper authorization. Applicable FAR clauses govern the solicitation and contract terms, and offerors must include a completed FAR provision 52.212-3 certification with their quotes. Questions regarding the solicitation may be directed to the CDC contracting specialist listed.
