Contract consists of maintenance dredging of the 33 foot authorized project channel of the Schuylkill River from Station 0+600 to Station 20+000. Dredging will be performed to a depth of 33 feet mean lower low water (MLLW) plus 1 foot allowable over depth limited by a vertical plane through the required depth contour. No side or end slopes will be specified and/or paid for along both channel edges (box cut). Hydraulic pipeline, hopper and bucket dredging will be permitted under this contract. The Government-furnished Containment Site available for use under this contract is Fort Mifflin, Area B and C. Solicitation Number W912BU-08-B-0009 will be issued on or about 27 May 2008 with bid opening date of 26 June 2008 at 11:00 a.m. The period of performance is 120 calendar days. Estimated cost range of the project is $1,000,000.00 to $5,000,000.00. The NAICS Code for this project is 237990 (SIC 1629) with a size standard of $18.5 million. Solicitation documents, plans and specifications will only be available via the Federal Business Opportunities (FBO) homepage located at https://www.fbo.gov/.
