18000-24000lb Rough Terrain Forklift

The U.S. Department of Commerce, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), is conducting market research through a Sources Sought Notice for the acquisition of one 18,000- to 24,000-pound rough terrain forklift to be delivered to Key Biscayne and Miami, Florida, with an anticipated delivery date of December 31, 2026. This notice is strictly for gathering industry input and does not constitute a solicitation, request for proposal, or binding obligation on the part of the government. The required forklift must feature a Tier 4 Final EPA-compliant diesel engine with true 4-wheel drive and differential lock, a multi-stage mast with a minimum lift height of 15 feet, and 72-inch tapered forks suitable for standard pallet and crate handling. The machine must include a fully enclosed, pressurized, all-weather cab with factory-installed air conditioning and heating to accommodate South Florida’s humid climate. Essential safety systems include LED work lights, an amber strobe beacon, an automatic backup alarm rated at a minimum of 97 decibels, and an Operator Presence System that disables drive and hydraulic functions if the operator leaves the seat. The equipment must be accompanied by one digital and one hard copy of comprehensive Operator, Parts, and Service manuals and come with a minimum 12-month or 2,000-hour bumper-to-bumper warranty, with optional extended powertrain coverage encouraged. Telematics for remote hour tracking and diagnostic monitoring is preferred but not required. Respondents must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM), provide their company name, address, and Unique Entity ID, and state their business size classification under NAICS code 532490, including any small business designations such as 8(a), HUBZone, or SDVOSBC. A firm fixed-price contract is anticipated if a formal solicitation is issued.
