2027 FCPL Janitorial

The Forsyth County Public Library is soliciting competitive bids for janitorial services for its administrative offices and five branch locations, including Cumming, Sharon Forks, Hampton Park, Post Road, and Denmark. The contract period begins January 1, 2027, and ends December 31, 2027, with the possibility of two additional one-year renewals. To be considered, bidders must attend mandatory pre-bid meetings for each location and submit sealed bids in triplicate by 2:00 P.M. on October 22, 2026. The award will be granted to the lowest responsible bidder based on cost, efficiency, dependability, experience, and the ability to meet all bid specifications and contract terms. The selected contractor must provide all labor, equipment, and first-quality materials to maintain clean facilities, with all cleaning performed when the libraries are closed to the public. Key requirements include maintaining a daily log of facility irregularities, conducting bimonthly quality assurance meetings with the Facilities and Construction Supervisor, and ensuring all employees are at least 18 years old. The contractor is also responsible for building security, including the correct arming and disarming of alarms. Required submission documents include a bid schedule, bidder references, a non-collusion affidavit, and a contractor affidavit. Upon contract execution, the winner must provide a certificate of insurance naming the library as an additional insured, as well as payment and performance bonds within ten days. Payment follows a Net 30 schedule upon receipt of a correct invoice.
