NOTICE OF INTENT TO AWARD SOLE SOURCE – Papierfabrik Louisenthal GmbH


2031ZA26D00005: 5 Year Indefinite-Delivery Indefinite-Quantity


The Bureau of Engraving and Printing (BEP), Office of the Chief Procurement Officer (OCPO), on behalf of the Office of Research and Development (R&D), intends to award a Single-Award Indefinite-Delivery Indefinite-Quantity (IDIQ) Firm-Fixed Price contract for the continued R&D features in banknotes, utilizing a Justification and Approval in accordance with FAR subpart 6.302-1(a)(2)(ii)(A) and (B). The intended contractor is Papierfabrik Louisenthal GmbH.


This technology is currently undergoing Phase 4, Technology Integration of Technology Development Process (TDP) under the contract 2031ZA20D00011. The technology development of this effort is to continue security advancement by the Contractor within the scope of the concept, feasibility, test and optimize phases to the technology process.  In support of this development, the Contractor will also supply relevant materials and features for testing.  


This Notice of Intent is not a request for competitive offers, quotes or proposals. A determination not to compete this requirement is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Any cost associated with the preparation and submission of data or information, or any other costs incurred in responding to this notice is the sole responsibility of the respondent and will not be reimbursed by the Government.
