Salient Characteristics HVAC Cooling Chassis Units Columbia VA Medical Center 1. Requirement Overview
The Government requires the purchase of twenty (20) HVAC cooling chassis units to support existing wall-mounted HVAC systems at the Columbia VA Medical Center.
This is a supply-only requirement. Installation will be performed by VA Engineering staff.
2. Brand Name Requirement
The Government requires:
Islandaire EZ15A7KFA1K14AB Cooling Chassis Units
This is a Brand Name Only requirement.
No substitutions or equal products will be accepted due to compatibility requirements with existing installed equipment and wall sleeve systems.
3. Minimum Technical Requirements
The equipment shall meet the following minimum characteristics:
Cooling Capacity: 14,500 BTU   Voltage: 277V   Electrical Requirements: Compatible with existing facility power infrastructure   Heating: No additional electric heat required; unit must be compatible with existing hot water coil heating configuration currently installed at the facility   Configuration: Cooling chassis designed for existing wall sleeve installation   Compatibility: Must fully integrate with existing Islandaire wall sleeve systems currently installed at Columbia VA Medical Center   Infrastructure: Units shall require no modification to existing HVAC infrastructure or wall sleeve assemblies   Construction: Commercial-grade HVAC unit suitable for institutional use   Condition: New equipment only; refurbished or used equipment will not be accepted
