REQUEST FOR INFORMATION / SOURCES SOUGHT SYNOPSIS
The Department of Veterans Affairs Network Contracting Office (NCO) 19, Rocky Mountain Acquisition Center (RMAC) is issuing this source sought notice as a means of conducting market research to identify parties having an interest in the providing for the purchase of Freezers for Research Service, located at Rocky Mountain Regional VA Medical Center (RMRVAMC), 1700 N. Wheeling St, Aurora, CO 80045. The result of this market research will contribute to determining the method of procurement to support this purchase.
The purpose of this RFI is to gather information that will assist in determining the appropriate acquisition strategy for this requirement. This notice does not constitute a solicitation and does not commit the Government to contract for any supply or service.
Required Equipment Description: 30 cubic foot upright manual defrost laboratory freezers with 20°C capability.
Salient Characteristics (Mandatory Minimum Requirements) General Design Purpose Freezers must be upright, general laboratory units with manual defrost capability. Units must provide audible and visual alarms. Temperature display and alarms must be located on the front or top front of the unit, no alarms or displays at the back or bottom. Adjustable operating temperature range: 15°C to 25°C. Capacity & Dimensions Minimum internal storage capacity: 30 cubic feet. Must include four evaporator shelves. Maximum external dimensions: 40 in (W) × 36 in (D) × 78 in (H). Door swing must not exceed 32 inches. Temperature Control Digital temperature display required. Temperature controls and alarm acknowledgements must be located on front or top front panel. Units must be manual defrost only; automatic defrost systems are not acceptable. Alarms & Monitoring High/low programmable alarms required. Door ajar alarm must be audible and visual. Alarm placement must be front or top front only. Doors & Access One solid right hinge door. Stainless steel handle and magnetic door gasket. Electrical Requirements Must operate on 110 120 V AC power supply. Minimum 6 foot power cord. Maximum full load current: 15 amps.
