680 Fairway Circle Bank Stabilization Project (Notification of Lake or Streambed Alteration, No. EPIMS-SMO-40479-R3)

The California Department of Fish and Wildlife has amended Lake and Streambed Alteration Agreement EPIMS-SMO-40479-R3 for the 680 Fairway Circle Bank Stabilization Project in Burlingame, California. This project, carried out by Mirmarlin Fair LLC and represented by Jonathan Brown, is conducted pursuant to Section 1602 of the Fish and Game Code. The scope of work involves the removal of unpermitted gabions, concrete, fill, and stacked rubble walls along approximately 175 linear feet of the east bank of Terrace Creek. The project includes recontouring and stabilizing the bank with rock slope protection, installing a new soldier pile wall at the top of the bank, and remediating the channel bed using clean gravels and boulders. To improve fish and wildlife habitat, native riparian plantings and willow poles will also be installed. The project is granted a statutory and categorical exemption under California Code of Regulations title 14, sections 15301 and 15304, as it involves minor repairs and alterations with no removal of healthy mature trees. A key amendment to the agreement allows for limited work to be performed during the early rainy season from October 15 to November 15. The project is managed by Environmental Scientist Shannon Husband and is located at 680 Fairway Circle, affecting Terrace Creek, a tributary to Sanchez Creek.
