The Overton Brooks VA Medical Center Contracting office is conducting market research and sources sought notices to identify potential vendors capable of supplying specific furniture and medical equipment items under NAICS Codes 339113 and 337214. The center is especially focused on locating Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB) and Veteran Owned Small Businesses (VOSB), along with other business classifications, to determine their capability to meet the technical specifications detailed in the attached statements of work. Key products include task chairs, installation/project management services, and specialized recumbent cross trainers for both the Shreveport VAMC and the Joint Ambulatory Care Center. Vendors must be original equipment manufacturers (OEM) or authorized representatives, providing only new OEM products and must ensure warranties and services comply with OEM requirements. Responses should contain company details such as name, address, DUNS number, business size, employee count, and proof of OEM authorization. The responses are voluntary and intended solely to assist the VA in gathering information for future solicitations, which will be issued separately at a later date. Vendors registered with the VA’s VetBiz Registry and verified as SDVOSB or VOSB are strongly encouraged to participate. No gray market, remanufactured, or unauthorized items will be accepted. Responses must be submitted in writing via email to the designated contracting specialist by specified deadlines—June 12, 2018, for medical equipment and July 18, 2018, for furniture—and telephone submissions are not accepted. This initiative underscores the VA’s commitment to supporting veteran-owned businesses while ensuring quality and compliance in its procurement process.
