The U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is seeking information through a Request for Information (RFI) to support the development of a system for receiving comprehensive flight and schedule data for all worldwide commercial passenger and cargo flights. This information-gathering effort aims to help CBP integrate the most current and complete data sets into their daily operational workflows. The RFI is not a solicitation for proposal nor does it indicate any forthcoming contract award; it serves solely for planning purposes. Respondents with demonstrated experience in handling contracts of similar scope are encouraged to provide initial pricing information along with detailed responses about their capability to supply flight data in various electronic formats, including push methods such as MQ and XML. Key data elements requested encompass scheduled flights information like carrier details, flight numbers, dates, frequencies, origin and destination specifics, connections, aircraft types, and capacities. The CBP is also interested in near real-time data elements including schedule changes, delays, cancellations, actual flight times, and flight positions. Vendors should also describe additional data they can supply regarding commercial airports worldwide on a daily basis. Organizations responding must identify their business size, relevant NAICS classification, and provide contact details. Responses are limited to 10 pages and must be submitted via email to the designated point of contact at the Department of Homeland Security. The effort is part of broader initiatives managed by the Procurement Directorate Contracting Division in Washington, DC.
