The Environmental Protection Agency is conducting market research through a Request for Information to identify potential sources capable of providing nationally representative agricultural and non-agricultural pesticide usage data. This RFI, issued under solicitation number 68HERW26Q0057 and categorized under NAICS code 541910, aims to gather information on existing data sources and vendor capabilities to support economic analyses, ecological assessments, and human health evaluations related to pesticide regulation. The agency seeks a reliable, searchable database containing recent and historical records on pesticide applications across a broad range of sectors including animal production, aquatic areas, invasive weed control, electric utilities, forestry, railroads, rangeland, roadways, stored grains, residential and consumer use, professional applicators, turf, ornamental plants, food handling establishments, and mosquito control. The database must be searchable by year and geographic region, and include data on pesticide type and active ingredients, acres treated, total pounds applied, timing and method of application, pest infestation stages, target pests, pesticide prices, and expenditures. Respondents are required to address their capability to meet the full scope of the requirement, identify potential subcontracting needs, indicate whether services can be provided on a firm-fixed-price basis, list any existing government-wide contracting vehicles, confirm commercial availability of the data products or services, describe prior experience with similar requirements, and state their intent to submit an offer if a formal Request for Quote is issued. No pricing, contract awards, or evaluation factors are being solicited at this stage—the government is not seeking quotes and will not accept unsolicited offers. All information collected will be used solely to inform future procurement planning.
