Air Duct Cleaning

The City of Meriden is soliciting bids under solicitation B027-09 for professional HVAC air duct cleaning services at the Meriden Police Department and Fire Stations 1 through 6. The objective of the project is to improve indoor air quality and system efficiency by removing dust, debris, and contaminants from air distribution systems, including all accessible components of Air Handling Units. The scope of work includes pre-service inspections with photo and video documentation, the use of negative air pressure equipment and HEPA filtration for cleaning ducts and registers, and the cleaning of blower assemblies, coils, drain pans, and filter housings. All work must comply with OSHA regulations, NADCA guidelines, and State of Connecticut licensing requirements. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible bidder, with a local preference granted to Meriden-based businesses that submit the required status form and agree to match the low bid. Bidders must provide a bid bond equal to 10 percent of the bid amount and maintain performance and payment bonds. Electronic submissions are due by 11:00 am on September 16, 2026, following a mandatory pre-bid meeting on August 26, 2026. Work is anticipated to commence in the fall of 2026, with payments issued not less than 30 days after the completion of services. The agreement will be formalized via a Purchase Order and a Standard Contractors Service Agreement.
