The 55th Contracting Squadron is seeking to procure a jet aerobatic demonstration featuring one MiG-17F and one F-4 aircraft for the Offutt Air Force Base "Defenders of Freedom" Air and Space Show scheduled for August 8-9, 2026, in Nebraska. The Government intends to award this contract on a sole-source basis to Fighterjets Inc, the only known provider with the unique capability to perform a fighter jet aerobatic demonstration involving these specific aircraft. Fighterjets Inc's pilot Randy Ball holds a rare Level I Jet Aerobatic Day and Night certification, allowing for unrestricted, high-performance stunt maneuvers essential for the event. While the award is planned as a sole-source contract, other responsible entities possessing similar FAA certifications to perform fighter jet aerobatics are invited to submit quotations by June 25, 2026. Submissions must be sent via email to the designated point of contact with the correct Notice ID in the subject line. This acquisition is designated as a Total Small Business Set-Aside under NAICS code 711320, reflecting the Department of Defense's effort to support small businesses. The contract will be performed at Offutt AFB, Nebraska, with Tyler Imhoff serving as the primary government contact.

The 55th Contracting Squadron has an ongoing requirement to acquire a jet aerobatic demonstration for an air show utilizing one MiG-17F and one F-4 aircraft. The Offutt Air Force Base “Defenders of Freedom” Air and Space Show will be held at Offutt AFB, Nebraska on August 8 and August 9, 2026.

The Government intends to award a contract for these services on a sole source basis to Fighterjets Inc (3BRB8). Fighterjets Inc is believed to be the only responsible source and no other services will satisfy agency requirements. Fighterjets Inc is the only known entity on the air show circuit that can provide a fighter jet aerobatic demonstration involving a MiG-17F and F-4 aircraft. Fighterjets Inc pilot Randy Ball is the only fighter jet demonstration pilot in North America to hold a Level I (unlimited) Jet Aerobatic Day and Night certification. This highly exclusive FAA certification is required to perform extreme, high-performance stunt maneuvers in jet aircraft during day, evening, and nighttime air shows. This certification allows Fighter Jets Inc to perform jet aerobatics without sequence restrictions.

Although the Government intends to award a contract on a sole source basis, all responsible entities may submit a quotation which will be considered by the contracting activity. In order to be determined responsible, entities must present similar certification to perform fighter jet aerobatics. Responses shall be sent via email to the listed point of contact via email and shall use the Notice ID in the subject line.
