Full Description

There is NO existing fire sprinkler system currently installed in Bldg. 6103. This building is an old dry wooden building dating back to 1940. The NAVY was concerned enough to install a fire alarm system 15 -20 years ago but they never did complete the fire suppression system. This fire alarm system that would notify Patuxent River in case of a fire was just fixed last year and is supposed to work now. I would like to see an installation of a fire suppression system throughout this building to protect the occupants of the building. Currently there are no sprinklers in any of the office spaces, hallways or in the machine shop and weld shop areas. There are no water supply lines installed to feed any sprinklers. There is a men and women's restroom on the west side of the building about mid center of the building. This would be the likely location where the fire suppression system could be sourced from. This is a safety concern / fire hazard in this wooden building. This is a fire / safety hazard that need to be addressed to prevent a fire from happening.
