Contractor will provide all labor, materials, tools and equipment necessary to haul and dispose of refuse, organics (compost), and mixed recycling from various State Park and State Beaches located in the Santa Cruz District of the Department of Parks and Recreation. Service locations are within Santa Cruz, and San Mateo Counties, CA. The term of this agreement is January 1, 2027 (or upon DPR approval) through December 31, 2029. There will be no job walk or pre bid conference for this contract. In submitting your bid, you must comply with the Refuse Disposal Service Instruction to Bidders, DPR 326D, included in the Bid Booklet C26715001. Sealed bids will be received by the Department of Parks and Recreation at the: SCD.contracts@parks.ca.gov CA Department of Parks and Recreation Santa Cruz District Office 303 Big Trees Road Felton, CA 95018 until 2:00 PM PST on 10/01/2026. At 2:30 PST on 10/01/2026 sealed bids will be publicly opened and read. The DVBE Participation Requirement for this solicitation has been waived--however the DVBE incentive still applies. On March 4, 2022, Governor Gavin Newsom issued Executive Order N-6-22 (the EO) regarding Economic Sanctions against Russia and Russian entities and individuals. "Economic Sanctions" refers to sanctions imposed by the U.S. government in response to Russia's actions in Ukraine, as well as any sanctions imposed under state law. By submitting a bid or proposal, Contractor represents that it is not a target of Economic Sanctions. Should the State determine Contractor is a target of Economic Sanctions or is conducting prohibited transactions with sanctioned individuals or entities, that shall be grounds for rejection of the Contractor's bid/proposal any time prior to contract execution, or, if determined after contract execution, shall be grounds for termination by the State.
