AI Contract Overview

The contract pertains to a full food service provision under the Army Food Program for dining facilities located at Parks Reserve Forces Training Area (Camp Parks), Fort Hunter Liggett, and Presidio of Monterey in California. It is a firm fixed-price, indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract, set aside entirely for small businesses in accordance with the Small Business Administration guidelines and the Randolph Sheppard Act. The solicitation corrects a previous oversight where the service-disabled veteran-owned small business (SDVOSB) set-aside was mistakenly chosen. The solicitation incorporates a priority right to operate dining facilities on federal property as defined in Army Regulation 30-22. The contract will have a five-year ordering period from August 1, 2019, through January 31, 2025, with an option to extend services beyond this initial term. The solicitation was anticipated for posting around late April 2019 with a closing date in May 2019, and the contract follows the NAICS code 722310, which covers food services and drinking places. The contracting agency is the Mission and Installation Contracting Command at Fort Sam Houston, Texas. Key contacts for the procurement include the Contract Specialist Sylvia Farmer and the Contracting Officer Samuel J. Colton. The acquisition aims to support small businesses in providing comprehensive food service operations across multiple federal locations in California.
