Fleet and Industrial Supply Center San Diego is hosting an unclassified Pre-Solicitation Conference on June 29, 2011, to discuss upcoming contract opportunities for janitorial and sanitation supplies serving Navy activities throughout the continental United States, Hawaii, Alaska, and Guam. The conference aims to provide industry with updates on the procurement process and an opportunity to review and comment on the draft Requests for Proposal (RFPs) associated with solicitations N0024411R0004 and N0024411R0006. These solicitations were initially announced in December 2010 and, while similar in scope, differ in their set-aside status: N0024411R0004 is a small business set-aside targeting specific Federal Supply Codes, whereas N0024411R0006 is open competition under a broader services code. Attendance is limited to one representative per company due to space constraints, and participants must register by June 23, 2011. The anticipated timeline for this procurement includes the solicitation posting in July 2011 with an award expected around August 2011, though these dates are subject to change. The conference will be held at San Diego with specific check-in and security procedures outlined for attendees. It is important to note that this event is strictly informational and not a guarantee of contract or purchase. Costs incurred by attendees for participation, travel, or marketing are not reimbursable by the government. Questions or registration confirmations should be directed to the provided Navy contacts via email. This contract effort falls under the NAICS code 325612 and is managed by the Navsup Fleet Logistics Center San Diego within the Department of Defense.
