The contract action was not awarded competitively and was not fixed price, in accordance with FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(iii) - only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements.
General Dynamics Electric Boat Corp., Groton, Connecticut is awarded a $29,765,029,553 incentive contract modification to N00024-17-C-2117 for the construction of five Columbia Class Fleet Ballistic Missile Submarines SSBN 828 through SSBN 832 (Build II) and investments in shipbuilder productivity efforts. Work will be performed in Groton, Connecticut (51%); Quonset Point, Rhode Island (26%); Newport News, Virginia (14%); and other locations less than 1% (9%) and is expected to be completed by June 2035.
