Construct a Strategic Bomber Aircraft parking apron expansion comprising an apron, paved shoulders, edge lighting, site lighting, hydrant fueling system, and aviation fuel dispensing hydrants. An additional project component includes relocating and constructing a Base Civil Engineer Covered Storage Facility and Base Civil Engineer Open Storage area. Supporting facilities include utility connections for electric, water, and stormwater management; site preparation and earth work; demolition of one facility (Building 1222) totaling 4,000 square feet (372 square meters); secondary roadway access from C Avenue and site improvements including landscaping and environmental mitigation for erosion control. Sustainable principles, to include lifecycle cost-effective practices, will be integrated into the design, development, and construction of the project in accordance with Unified Facilities Criteria 1-200-02, High Performance and Sustainable Building Requirements. This includes preparation of a lifecycle cost analysis for energy consuming systems and renewable energy generating systems whenever life-cycle cost effective is selected as the read on any requirement of UFC 1-200-02 is partially compliant or not applicable. This project will comply with DoD antiterrorism/force protection requirements per UFC 4-010-01, DoD Minimum Antiterrorism Standards for Buildings. The site plan will be developed in accordance with applicable criteria and submitted for Department of Defense Explosive Safety Board approval.
