This project will expand the blast pad and overrun for Runway 24R approach zone. The 6,304 square yard (SY) overrun was constructed in 1965, is in substandard condition and planned for continued use. No major repairs have been completed on it since its construction. Work to be conducted includes demolition of existing concrete and base, excavation of excess soils, remediation, compaction, expanding blast pad and overrun, replacement of lighting and lighting fixtures, pavements and pavement markings and drainage.
