Combined Arms Command and Control Trainer Upgrade System (CACCTUS)

The Marine Corps System Command’s Program Manager for Training Systems (PM TRASYS) plans to extend an existing contract with Riptide Software, Inc. for two months to continue support services for the Combined Arms Command and Control Trainer Upgrade System (CACCTUS). This extension, covering the period from September 1, 2014, to October 31, 2014, is intended to allow for system backups, hardware and software inventory, and preparation for the deployment or disposal of Government Furnished Product (GFP) through reutilization or transfer to the Defense Reutilization and Marketing Office (DRMO). During this time, Post Deployment Software Support (PDSS) activities will also continue. Riptide Software will be required to supply their own office and developmental equipment, while the Government will provide a notional suite of testing equipment as GFP. This contract extension is conducted under other than full and open competition and carries an estimated cost of approximately $420,681. The large volume of GFP requiring disposition was unforeseen at the contract’s outset, necessitating this additional time frame to manage the transfer or disposal of office, developmental, and testing equipment across various commands.
