AI Contract Overview
The solicitation N0024426Q0029, titled COMNAVSURFPAC Chaplain’s Office Reconfiguration, was originally issued as a Request for Quotation under FAR Subpart 12.6 for commercial services with the intent to procure a comprehensive renovation of Building 14, Room 26B at Naval Base Coronado, California. The project included full demolition and replacement of ceiling tiles, carpet flooring, and window shades; installation of new LED lighting, sound-absorbing partitions with lockable sliding doors, and integrated office furniture systems for four private offices, a conference room, reception area, break space, and waiting area; as well as relocation of IT equipment, ceiling-mounted speakers, data drops, and wire management. All materials had stringent specifications, including 100% non-directional fissured mineral fiber ceiling tiles with minimum .60 NRC and 35 CAC ratings, Tarkett carpet tiles in a specific color and style, and honeycomb soft shades with continuous cord loop control. The procurement was structured as a Total Small Business Set-Aside under NAICS Code 337214, with award intended under a Lowest Price Technically Acceptable (LPTA) methodology, requiring full compliance with all Statement of Work elements and exact product specifications to be deemed technically acceptable. Quoters had to submit a single firm-fixed price quote supported by detailed information for fair and reasonable determination, along with current SAM representations, UEI and CAGE codes, and certifications regarding small business status, veteran ownership, WOSB, HUBZone, and compliance with federal requirements such as DFARS 252.204-7012 and FAR 52.222-50. A mandatory site visit was scheduled for June 1, 2026, with registration required by May 29, and proposals were due by June 12, 2026, via email to the designated point of contact. However, Amendment 003 has since canceled the solicitation in its entirety due to a change in the government’s requirements, with no award to be made under this solicitation.
