Court Reporting Services - PAO

The Parish of Jefferson is soliciting Statements of Qualifications from professional firms or individuals to provide court reporting services on an as-needed basis for all Parish departments, boards, and commissions. Authorized by Resolution No. 149077, the procurement requires that at least one principal of the firm possess a minimum of five years of experience in court reporting. Submissions must be made electronically via the Parish eProcurement portal by 3:30 p.m. on September 24, 2026. The required submittal package consists of a General Professional Services Questionnaire and a fee proposal that specifically includes appearance fees and costs for certified transcripts. Evaluation is based on a weighted scoring system prioritizing professional qualifications and experience (25 points), firm size and capacity (20 points), previous experience with Jefferson Parish (15 points), and experience with other public entities (10 points), with additional points awarded based on the office location. The contract is subject to a maximum cumulative annual fee cap of $500,000. While not required during the initial application, selected vendors must provide a sworn affidavit and proof of insurance—including Worker's Compensation and Commercial General Liability—prior to final contract approval. All disputes regarding the evaluation or award process are to be brought before the 24th Judicial Court.
