Cybersecurity Compliance and Incident Reporting Support

The contract supports the implementation and ongoing maintenance of NIST Special Publication 800-171 controls to safeguard Controlled Unclassified Information within the Department of Defense environment. It encompasses full cybersecurity compliance activities focused on protecting CUI, including the establishment of technical and procedural safeguards required by the standard. The contractor will be responsible for ensuring continuous alignment with NIST 800-171 requirements through monitoring, assessment, and mitigation of vulnerabilities, as well as implementing robust incident detection capabilities to identify and respond to potential security breaches in real time. In addition to compliance and detection, the contract mandates timely reporting of cybersecurity incidents through the Defense Industrial Base portal, ensuring adherence to mandatory DIBNet submission protocols. The contractor must also preserve forensic data related to incidents to support investigation, attribution, and regulatory compliance efforts. This includes maintaining chain-of-custody procedures and securing digital evidence to meet federal standards for integrity and availability. The work is performed as a downstream subcontract under the Defense Logistics Agency, with performance scoped to support classified and controlled information systems governed by DoD cybersecurity policies.
